SHINE4WATER: OUR MISSION TO FIGHT THE CLEAN WATER CRISIS

Did you know 780 million people in this world still don’t have access to clean drinking water?

We are lucky to be are able to get safe water straight from our kitchen taps, whereas they have to send a family member to take the long journey to fetch a bowl of contaminated water. The person making this trip is often a woman or child. Knowing well that drinking this water can lead to a number of diseases, they have no choice but to do so. As a result of drinking this water, along with poor sanitation and hygiene, one child dies every 21 seconds.

Could you imagine if that was your mother, father, brother, sister, best friend, or even your own child?

It’s heartbreaking and unfair to know that this is happening somewhere in the world. That’s why we decided to partner up with Water is Life and do something about it.

Water is Life is a non-for-profit organisation that provides water purification devices to those in need of safe water. You can find these devices in 33 countries around Africa, North America, South America, East Asia and the Middle East.

So where does Shine+ come in?

As a result of our partnership with Water is Life, a portion of the money you spend when you purchase a bottle of Shine+ allows Water Is Life to provide one person with a portable water purifier, known as the water filter straw. This means every bottle of Shine+ sold provides one person with clean water for a day.
